My Acer C720P says "Your device is up to date. Check for and apply updates", so i'm stuck on v.44. How to fix it?

I work in a large business which use chrome instead of windows and since this update was released, a huge number of users including myself have had their devices randomly turn off and back on again several times in the day...very frustrating and time consuming having to log back in to all Citrix sessions!
