how do i use these new features? i see no instructions
I agree, where are the instruction Google?
I agree.....how do you use these new features???
Yep, me too. First thing I thought when I read the post. You're going to have to do better than this Google if you want to encourage acceptance of the platform.
This update completely ruined our deployment of Chromebooks that were using single app kiosk mode for testing. Instead of being located in the bottom tray like set in the Admin Console it now appears front & center on boot up. We are talking 4000 devices now messed up due to poor & lackadaisical testing PLEASE FIX
Why no changelog?Need to find out what changes were made to Kiosk mode.3000+ Chromebooks no longer showing Kiosk mode...ChromeOS now prefers Kiosk OR Enterprise but not both?
Yes I agree this update is very bad. My chrome book is now very slow, takes ages to start up. It now constantly scans a removable device (haven't got one) and the scan never completes. Horrible update.
For those with Kiosk issues, see here:https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=251905
I wonder what Arabic letter has google sacrificed off the keyboard this time. Not sure I will turn on my pixel anytime soon though, the worst purchase of my life.
Thank you Google, for turning on offline backup from the get go. So many of our students miss this crucial step and once they get home to do their homework, they find that they can't do homework... This is a HUGE HELP!
Stumpy is not updating. All devices?
My HP 11 has got the update, but not my Samsung...
My Samsung XE303 is not updating!
HP Chromebook 14 is still stuck on V30 and has not updated in over a month.. No mirroring to TV, cannot switch to Beta channel (only option is "cancel"), after powerwash the laptop can select Beta but does not show any indication in the version or other data.... Help! OS tech support has not been able to provide me with assistance.
I have submitted feedback. In my ~2 years of using Chrome OS full time, never seen such problems (bugs) with a release. I hope they have paused the release for fixes and are aware of the problems. The worst is that Peppy is restarting Chrome whenever I have more than one window open and go between them (not every time, but often). My chromebook is almost unusable now. There is a long list of other problems that all seem related to the UI.
Is there any way to downgrade to a previous version that is more stable? In the field I know this was possible on other systems... I.e. clarity, smartgraph, willett, cad, etc... Bypassing / dumping config files and loading previous s/w always worked.
At first I was coming here to complain that my two Acer Chromebooks still have not updated to this release. In fact, one that was two revs back did update, but the the previous release. But after reading these comments, I'm not complaining anymore. I wonder if Google has halted the updates.
Okay, just got a new build on Stumpy AND Peppy. We'll see how it goes down...
It appears Google has dumped this build and issued a new .120 one instead. Let's see what happens.
It does no good WHATSOEVER to put out an updated build with new features and not provide instructions on how to ACCESS THEM!Google, this is MADDENING. Get your defecation consolidated here.
