In prev version, clicking on hyperlinks was difficult since we no more had the "Hand" icon over "Pointer" icon. One had to strain hard to click EXACTLY on the link. This is fixed, but I was kind of getting used to doing the mouse clicks quickly and using the pointer icon. I think webpages all over the internet need to be optimized to use the "Pointer" icon but then that would be a great thing to have the "Pointer" icon to QUICKLY navigate all over the Internet. The "Hand" icon is slightly clumsy but I have been used to it for a long time now.
If hyperlinks on the whole of internet can be made bigger so that one does not need to point exactly on some link, then Pointer" icon will do very well.
Still seeing the tearing and blocking with rendering pages on the Linux version that came with the last update. The hand is back for hyperlinks, which is good, but the rendering issues make the dev build nearly unusable right now.
@abqnm: could you file a bug with screenshots / repro steps, as well as confirming the version? The big such offender ( https://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=356990 ) should have been fixed in 1916.6.
@Antoine Labore, I am sorry I wasn't able to submit a bug report. I didn't immediately know the problem. I did find later that HW Acceleration was completely disabled, and forcing it on cleared up the rendering issues but it started crashing 30 seconds after launch. 1916.17 seems to have resolved both issues.
