There is a link up about for SVN. I think your changes are there.
No change log? Unacceptable. The reason I say that is because we should at least know what to look for. Also I would love to see some kitkat specific improvements like better memory handling and transparent home keys and status bar.
Google Chrome [Beta] for Android is better than ever with this release. Been wondering for a while if we ever will see:1. Quicker start-up, perhaps by starting without a tab? Just that dark Chrome background. Otherwise I think Chrome should close entirely on Android when the last tab is closed, much like on the desktop counterpart.2. Bookmarks accessible from under the address field, like on the PC client? Would love access my bookmarks there from my tablet, but not my phone.3. Extension and or theme support?By the way, I would rather just have synced bookmarks, i.e. Google Chrome Bookmarks not "mobile bookmarks" etc.
Please move the address bar to the bottom. With a 5 inch phone, it will be a lot easier to use. Thanks
.99 does noticeably improve speed on x86 (there has been no .94 build for x86), but still it's nowhere to be as smooth as Safari on iPad...Tiny font and large white spaces on sides on 10 inch tablets were not fixed.
Chrome for Android beta is great but I'll never see it as ideal for large screen high end smartphones (we have the Sony Ultra and Sg Notes in our house) until it enables the option for desktop Default displays.A big reason we BUY large screen devices is surfing the real deal...not the second rate mobile view. Why this isn't seen by the Google Chrome folks is beyond me. The constant clicking of the desktop button is a major pain, which is why Opera Beta is still used as the go-to browser.
Mr. TmSwm, you obviously are not familiar!!If supported Desktop version by default, this would mean that Chrome could not maintain HTML5, and will require a Flash! Flash is history! Google, do not allow Chrome to become a in Desktop version by default!
I don't know if that is true. Opera Mini has the same structure and has option for permanent desktop view. When rooted, default desktop is easy to enable via build.prop or by just installing useragent apps.
Why, why, why can't the bookmarks go back in to nice folders set out in a list instead of ugly icons splashed all over the screen? That's one of the features I used to love but it disappeared about 3 releases ago. Please bring it back!!!
Mr. TmSwm here's proof in 2 picture. 1. When you switch to the desktop version, the desktop version disable HTML5 and require FlashPicture 1 :http://s005.radikal.ru/i212/1401/46/dac9af9466aa.png2. When the desktop version is disable, it allows watching HTML5 videoPicture 2:http://s017.radikal.ru/i408/1401/c9/3647749511db.pngTherefore, it is harmful to Chrome to support desktop version by default! So if you want a desktop version you can switch the settings on the WEB SITE, so Chrome will remember your choice and will always open the site in a desktop version. In this case, the site will recognize the device as "Android" and will support HTML5 (example picture 2).However, when using the browser option "request desktop version" then the site recognizes the device as a PC and requires Flash (example picture 1).Therefore, it is harmful to Chrome to support desktop version by default!
Thanks for the insight P. Nikolov. Appreciate it
Why don't you use Youtube app, which is pretty good?@SizzersTurn on NTP in chrome://flags and you will have fast folders with lists.@sibbor1a. Yet again try out the New Tab Page. It much faster and nicer.1b. Closing browser on last tab isn't really great idea. It drastically reduces usability for users who surfs a lot.
1b. Instead of closing browser and showing black screen, closing last tab should simply bring to NTP.
Mr. Coth, YouTube is not the only site that supports HTML5. I gave an example with him.
Mr Coth what is the 'New Tab Page'?
I am confused picture 1.This is Picture 1 :http://s019.radikal.ru/i619/1401/20/0f0f17370458.png
Mr Nikolov, you said:"So if you want a desktop version you can switch the settings on the WEB SITE,"Exactly where in settings is this? . I don't find on Web Chrome settings a mobile vs desktop option. Thanks
Please! We want a way to organize our bookmarks. A tab with icons everywhere is unacceptable. Allow us to sort in ABC order. Also I think it is time for chrome releases to be announced on a more detail Google styled website. Look at how Firefox announces updates, they almost got it down to right.
@ Coth....I LOVE YOU!!!Thanks a lot - I really do appreciate it!
my chrome beta updated this morning when I woke up, and now won't open.chrome is working just fine.this is on nexus 4 stock kitkat - no problems at all before update.
