Very nice update - Thanks Google Dev Team! Win Vista/32 bit
Where is my hardware acceleration? You promised it to be released soon on dev channel.
7.0.517.8 > 7.0.517.17, yet 7.0.517.17 is the newer version.Illogical numbering system: newer versions have had higher numbers until now. Vyger and Spock would not approve.
When it will give really dev-builds (7.0.53x)?
My Chrome Dev 7.0.517.8 is not updating to the newest version. When I click about google chrome it says mine is up to date...? And I agree with the above user, why does the last Dev update go backwards in number?
17 is a bigger number than 8 , where's the confusion?@Heinrich, I expect these minor updates are in preparation for a beta release, then we'll get the 'really' dev builds.
Same for me, 7.0.517.8 won't update.
Correction : "About" menu doesn't show there's an update, but when I restarted it updated...
.8 rarely means .8000 in at least the *nix world of version numbering. Firefox also doesn't use that kind of numbering scheme.
I'm a Korean's User with Google Chrome.I often contact to the NAVER every day.In NAVER cafe or blog, I never update photos. Why does this problem be caused in Chrome?I hope that the inaccuracy could be corrected. Thank you for reading.
This release keeps messing with the bookmarks images.
Having all sorts of problems with bookmark icons and start page miniatures....
Speed dial extension in chrome extension gallery : background image not showing up in "New tab"
Smoothscroll its gone forever in devs¿? or they changed "values"? I mean. newer versions (all) of chrome/chromium feel like smoother than previous ones, they dont jump. But 517.5 one had the "smooth scroll" feeling. They removed that from newer builds or they just make it a little less "smooth"?. (I use the newer builds on laptop, but in desktop i dont care about a little higher cpu usage :P)
Any word on when to expect the return of the Web app (actual functionality)? Looks like its still absent in Canary 7.0.530.0.
BTW, thanks for fixing http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=52986It's nice to be able print PDFs from chrome's built-in reader, again.
Bookmark favicons are gone.
The team really needs to put some more effort in this = =, the previous 2 dev releases didnt make me happy, and i love love love Chrome, but the last two releases got my down. i dont kno what you guys r doing, but srsly, u guys need to make things better, rather than make things worse.
browser hunt IE test has a graphical issue under chrome 7.http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=56538for details
@HR this update seems to clobber the Thumbnails DB, you need to revisit sites to have Chrome recache the favicons.I suspect the next update will blow them away again, however, since this one has a bug that is causing unrelated sites to gain favicons. And they can't be removed if the site has on favicon.
Will there be any planning for 64 bits Chrome version?
Hello =)In this Release, 7.0.517.17, the Funktion: "Report Bug or Broken Website is not in this version! Why have you got remove theHello =)In this Release, 7.0.517.17, the Funktion: "Report Bug or Broken Website is not in this version! Why have you got remove the function? function?
And yes this updates Flash to 10.1.85.3 to fix the security issues!
When I open a new tab, the page shows thumbnails of recently visited pages and I can "pin" them like a cork board. I LOVE this feature and I would be thrilled if we could have an unlimited (or at least a greater number than 8) amount of thumbnails on the new tabs page. This is great - give me more!!!
Great to see that there is still no replacement for the removed bookmarks button...I don't understand why you could't wait till you got some proper solution. It's a joke that I have to use an extensions to open my bookmarks.
Massive memory leaks. I had 1074mb of RAM usage for 6 tabs.
I don't know what happened, my chrome just stop openning pages.
