Update using the web installer brought me the same loading problems. Neither webseites or chrome://settings/ were shown.

I decided to try the offline installer ( https://support.google.com/installer/answer/126299?hl=en ) and this worked!

So... either the web installer is still using the old version or there is still a bug.

This doesn't have a "stable release" tag?

The installers downloaded from the front page installs only the previous version of windows which is 28.0.1500.71. This happens with the Business version also.

28.0.1500.72 updates only checking for updates via "About Google chrome".

Any idea when the Front page will be updated with the latest version

Nice that the bookmarks have been resized again. However, resource use seems much higher in 28.0.1500.72 m
