Chrome OS Stable Channel Update

The Stable channel has been updated to 26.0.1410.57 (Platform version: 3701.81.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of bug fixes and security improvements. Machines will be receiving updates over the next several days.

Release highlights:
  • Pepper Flash updated to 11.6.602.180
  • GTalk plugin updated to 3.14.17
  • Bluetooth UI improvements in the Status Area to ease connecting and managing Bluetooth devices
  • Updated wallpaper picker UI (New style, All category)
  • Added Widevine Content Decryption Module (CDM) on Intel platforms
  • Significant video performance improvements in Widevine CDM on ARM platforms.
Security fixes and rewards:
  • Please see the Chromium security page for more detail. Note that the referenced bugs may be kept private until a majority of our users are up to date with the fix.
    • [189250] High CVE-2013-0927: Unsafe config option loading in Pango. Credit to Pinkie Pie.
Known Issues:


  • In some situations, the screen may dim while in a hangout.

awful update, going to need to go to dev channel, because the stable channel update breaks chrome multi tab. when streaming audio or video, and using another tab, there is a massive amount of jitter when loading. This is on the samsung ARM chromebook.

I agree with the comment posted by Jason Speicher. When streaming a video and browsing on anther tab, there is significant jitter on the video.

If anyone from the Google Development reads this, the recent update causes major problems. Certain videos from youtube will no longer play, there is significant delays when buffering (no it's not my internet connection) and like others have mentioned, when you open another tab with youtube on it has major jitter issues.
