Dev Channel Update for Chrome OS

The Dev channel has been updated to 27.0.1430.0 (Platform version: 3797.0.0) for all Chrome OS devices. This build contains a number of stability fixes and feature enhancements.

Some highlights of these changes are:


  • New UI improvements
  • Pepper Flash updated to 11.6.602.177

Known Issues:

  • Switch window key (F5) not working. (174035)
  • Brightness keys not working on new Samsung Chromebook (180100)
  • Hangout not working on the new Samsung Chromebook from active conversation. Workaround: Start from camera icon next to the contact name in the list  or from G+
  • Video playback plays stutteringly sometimes on new Samsung Chromeboox (175638)

With this new update the buttons next to the omnibox are rendered useless. For example Adblock plus with element hiding helper. Normally clicking on the button would give you a list of options, mainly something like
remove element" or something like that. Now it is just a blank popup bubble. Is there any way to uninstall the latest update?

I agree with Ruben, buttons next to omnibox are useless.
Something strange is happening with post on facebook.
When I click the picture, there comes picture and comments squeezed to the top, post background is from the top to bottom of the screen. Looks ugly.
And I beg you, remove this annoyong "import bookmarks" bar, when opening new tab. Or just give option to hide this thing.
People on all chrome forums write about this.

Funny how they love the samsung chromebook and its in all there ads but the bugs are only on the new samsung chromebooks
