Stable Channel on series 5 says Google Chrome 16.0.912.77 is up to date at time of this comment.

The update still hasn't been rolled out. How about posting this once the update is actually available?

Agreed with both previous comments. Still don't see an update on my Acer AC700.

The updates never come out instantly to everyone. I'm not sure one has ever taken multiple days, but they certainly take several hours.

I think they use old 486's for the update servers.

My Chromebook crashed tonight - but it still shows release 16 and says its current.

What caused the crash? I was dumped off Gmail and told my time had expired (???) when did they add time limits. So I tried to log backon and was told my account was locked down.

I put my Chromebook up on EBAY. I really feel guilty for unloading it on some unsuspecting buyer. But without a way to block the touch pad its useless anyway. Now this and it was enough. First $150 gets it.

After pushing "Check for update" my Series 5 still says Chrome OS is up to date. Google Chrome 16.0.912.77

Any explanation why the stable channel update is not live when the blog says it is?

Not working a day later still.

Do I need to do a hard reset?

New version crashes constantly. Every two pages I visit causes an immediate closure of chrome, no warning, just gone. Is there a way to downgrade because experiences like this is not comforting at all.

Even doing a complete system recovery returns no update available. Even the updated USB image is still at 16.

Still not seeing the update on my Acer Chromebook...

Ironically enough, I didn't get the Stable update described here, but when I switched to Beta, I got an undocumented Beta channel update to 18 that I'm sure you've heard on the Chromebook Central forum...

At the time of writing this, my Series 5 ChromeBook says it's still on Version 16.0.912.77 and is up to date. Thought it hadn't been six weeks since the last update though.

The update must have been pulled, as cros-omahaproxy.appspot.com doesn't list the update...
