The Beta channel has been updated to 17.0.963.46 for all platforms including Chromebooks (Platform versions: 1412.150). This update fixes a number of stability and UI issues. For Chromebook users, it also includes a new version of Pepper Flash. Full details about what changes are in this version of Chrome are available in the SVN revision log. Interested in switching release channels? Find out how on Chrome / Chromebooks. If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a Chrome or Chrome OS bug.

Hope this fixes the Youtube tab crash bug.
Clearing your cache should fix the Youtube bug as of now, for all versions of Chrome.
I cleared my cache over the weekend. Didn't help anything. Let's hope this update does.

Where is the final version of Google chrome to 17.0? When will it be released? Much delay and when I click on the Google Chrome it still appears in 2011 and 2012 are already Google is delayed.
As of now I am on Firefox. Google chrome crashes too much.

In the last 2 years Chrome NEVER crashed on me. Always Running beta.
Mainman678 this is the beta blog, not stable - try the stable release, and a new profile. For me on Linux, Chrome more stable than Firefox, although FF "feels" more mature.
