when i click on flash plugin like vedio application the first time since i start up chrome, chrome will halt for 10 seconds, while i cannot make any operation. ten senconds later, everything recover all right, and the problem won't happen if i click the vedio again.

The "Downloads" tab "bug" (that funny piece of code) wasn't fixed... Waiting for a new version :)

F6 does not highlight the URL in address bar anymore

Memory usage for the same tabs came down to about 1.8GB of private memory from 4.7GB.
Also annoying hangs are gone finally, e.g. when I'm typing something into the text box it doesn't hang for couple of seconds.

@Andy M I believe a fix has been committed to Webkit so we should see it soon.

@Andara eisenher @Plurboy Ensure you do not have JavaScript disabled in options. This seems to be broken in this release, enable JavaScript globally and restart Chrome to make extensions work again.

I keep seeing this crash on latest dev version today on Windows XP, ie crash at startup. How can I fix this on Windows XP. I think crash is because of notifications. How can I disable notifications and not have this crash ?

Avinash Agrawal said...

One thing that works to eliminate the startup crash, is adding --disable-extensions to the end of the application-shortcut's target field and that worked

Google Chrome geeks,

I am experiencing a weird issue with this dev. version of Google Chrome. In my blog: "http://bugejakurt-webdev.blogspot.com/" I have an external javascript reference to SyntaxHighlighter. The dev. version is giving me problems with references to these javascript files. Official Google Chrome version doesn't have this problem.

Any ideas?

Thanks.
