Stable Channel Update

The Stable channel has been updated to 13.0.782.220 for Windows, Mac, Linux, and Chrome Frame.

We're revoking trust for SSL certificates issued by DigiNotar-controlled intermediate CAs used by the Dutch PKIoverheid program. For more details about the security issues see the Google Security Blog post about DigiNotar and an update from Mozilla, who is also moving to revoke trust in these certificates.

If you find a new issue, please let us know by filing a bug.

Please fix the issue with built in flash crashing for Windows 7, this is for my laptop. I thought this issue would have been fixed in this stable update. I know I am not the only with this problem.

Please backport crrev.com/91790 for crbug.com/91774 to next stable release. It's only 1 line of code but is very annoying for linux users.

Not sure if crash reports are legit or Microsoft trolls.
What I can offer - Chrome 14 Beta Channel running great on Windows and ChromeOS.
When I first started using Chrome I thought Stable Channel would be the most prudent. But after becoming familiar with Google and deeper waters I ventured out to the beta channel.

It's been a few months so far and Chrome beta, for me, has been entirely stable. And it seems to get faster bug fix, security, and feature updates.

Put better - in the ChromeOS settings Google lists the channels as follows '1.Stable 2.Beta 3.Dev - Unstable."

If you're not on a corporate domain / work PC, maybe consider the beta channel - the water out here's great :-)

What Steve said is right.

I'm on the DEV Channel on ChromeOS and to be honest. It's pretty stable for whats meant to be unstable...

No harm in trying trying right....

I have flash crashes repeatedly and regularly. I am not a Microsoft troll. I am on the net a lot and I would say I experience flash crashes at least 5 to 10 times a day.

I'm still getting an update server error... :(

Chrome's crashing on me too. I also can time it to when the newest "stable" update, well, updated on my browser. I had absolutely no issues before then, going back to using Chrome since 2008.

It would be good if some of the 'crashers' would post a link to the offending page, so people can check what's happening. If it reproduces, file a bug.

Also: please try to open an incognito windows (ctrl-shift-n), and see if the crash still occurs - maybe it's extension related, and incognito turns those off by default.

The built in flash crashes on these sites for my windows 7 laptop. Omegle.com and Chatroulette.com. But issues are fixed when I download a flash plugin from adobe.com site. Built in flash for chrome is the only issue for these sites. Oh yes one last site that also has an issue with built in flash is stickam.com

My chrome for win7 has been crashing quite frequently like win explorer.. Don't seem to know what the problem is but the only new thing I did was enable Instant Pages.

After installing the update (linux 64 bit rpm, 13.0.782.220), the DigiNotar root cert is still in the list and none of its trust settings have changed.

Only the intermediates were removed? All the news stories mention complete removal of DigiNotar from the list of trusted roots. Should I be worried? :)

Another useful thing would be if those with crashes would turn on crash logging, if you haven't already:
wrench menu - options - privacy - check 'automatically send usage statistics and crash reports to google'.

Thanks for everyone's comments. If you'd like to help us get rid of these crashers, we'd definitely appreciate if you could do the following.

Right now:
Enable crash reporting (as sjoesixgig@ points out)

When you see a crash:
1.) Note the conditions which cause the crash (e.g. I was playing farmville and I was viewing a large farm and planted ...)
2.) Go to chrome://crashes, find the crash report id that corresponds w/ the time of the crash, and file a bug explaining what you were doing at the time (we tend to be able to more easily fix things that are reproducible).
3.) Reference the bugs when you comment on release notes (they are generally much more actionable than simply saying something like "Flash crashed on Win Foo").

As always, thank to everyone who trys early release of Chrome and help to make the product better.

Unable to run Flash Player 10.3.183.7 with Chrome 13.0.782.220m and OS Win XP. Several attempts to install failed permanently. Tried different combinations of internal plugins and even so no success. Any known issue here?
Thanks

Can you please consider the option to add an "auto hide bookmarks bar" option, so when you need to see your bookmarks bar you only need to put your mouse over an area (for example the little star on the omnibar) and the bookmarks bar will apear automatically... thanks!

Two things:

Why on earth is CompactNavigation planned to be removed. For those not knowing what that is: It is possible to run Chrome in such way that the address-field and all stuff related to that, is completely hidden. The only thing you see is the tabs. If you click a tab, then you will see the address field.

I have disabled updates for Chrome, so I'm able to keep this feature in my Chrome install.

2.
Having many tabs in one window quickly makes you create several windows in order be able to view the tabs. This multipe windows, with tabs is just... a pain in the a**.

When can we see functionality like Firefox Panorama in Chrome?
How Firefox Panorama works (video):

All of a sudden I'm getting "Missing Plugin" for all my flash apps. Games on google+ and youtube are not working at all. Was there an update recently which would cause this?
