Chrome Dev Channel Update

The Chrome Dev channel has been updated to 12.0.742.16 for all platforms.  This release continues to address UI and performance issues, as well as a fix for non-Aero themes on Windows. The full list of changes is available from the SVN revision log. If you find new issues, please let us know by filing a bug. Want to change to another Chrome release channel? Find out how.

Just a heads-up guys:

http://arstechnica.com/

Is still broken (started with 12.0.742.12). I don't know what's causing the page to break, but I've sent a report regardless.

There is a problem on download.cnet.com

Fix for twitter/ars/cnet is likely part of http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=81065 and will be in the next release.

Still no text-shadow? Seriously?

@jext calm down, it was fixed last night, before this was released so it'll need tested before it's ready for the dev release.

Chrome 12.0.742.16 does not display CSS property text-shadow

Anyone with problems where a webpage is not rendering (you switch from another tab and there's no repainting at all over the image of the old tab's webpage) turn off GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D in about:flags, and always keep in mind any about:flags option may be unstable. :)

what does the '-m' stand for in the version number?

Music Man said...

"m" might stand for "maybe will add google sync custom search engines in the next release". Yeah, I know "wishful thinking". I can still cross my fingers and toes though.

Website http://www.mmo-champion.com hasn't worked since 12.0.742.12 and the site admins say that this issue cannot be fixed on their side due to some change that was done in chrome dev channel. Is there anything that can be done to make that website working again?

agui_4000 said...

Whenever I open Youtube, the site is asking to install Adobe flash player. Do we need to install agiain??? Browsing with Google chrome is the best. You guys are doing very well. Really appreciated.

In chrome, the above URL keeps saying "Parts of this pdf document could not be displayed". Please fix this.
