Chrome OS Beta Channel Update

The Chrome OS Beta channel has been updated to R12 release 0.12.433.57 including Chrome 12.0.742.68 Beta and several stability and functional improvements over the previous release.

In addition to the new Chrome 12 (see Chrome 12 blogpost), there are several Chrome OS improvements including:
  • New translation
  • Fixed crash on Thai pages

No new known issues.

You can find full list of fixes that are in Chrome OS R12 in the chromium-os bug tracker. If you find new issues, please let us know by visiting our help site or filing a bug. You can submit feedback using ‘Report an issue’ under the wrench menu.

Not sure if this is a bug or not but it annoys me: Load http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/0/02/80486dx2-large.jpg for example in chrome, firefox, opera, whatever browser, and in chrome the image comes out very small, not close to filling up my browser window. All other browsers either show the images as 1:1 pixel ratio or shrinks the image to fit the window.

It is not new to the latest version, it has been like this for a while. And I'm on the beta channel.

hey

i was wondering if anyone else has this problem and if so how can i fix it?
lately, every time i do a google search and try to click on one of the results it directs me to advertisement pages and not the website that i clicked on. any ideas how i can fix this? id really appreciate it

@fay - The behavior your describing is almost a sure sign of mal-ware or a virus. You need to do a security scan of your computer....
