Another nice update Google Dev Team!
The UI is totally messed up.The wrench menu doesn't fit in the screen when chrome is maximised and i can't even see the scroll bar. This is a terrible release.
I would like to be able to desactivate previous search auto complete in the omnibar. previous address autocomplete make sense but previous search make me lose time in searching old stuff by error. Thanks.
this build has issues loading twitter.com at my place.
i have also noticed several problems on other websites too.
would wait for an update in the coming hours (hopefully) or tomorrow.
otherwise, back to beta for me.
The UI has gone haywire.
When i maximise the chrome browser window - it goes beyond my screen :-/
Even in this post a comment window - unable to see the scroll bar
Unlike everyone here, i am currently having no problems. I love the minor little UI changes in the toolbar.
What does the '-m' mean in the version?
12.0.742.12 dev-m
Everything working perfectly in Fedora 15 x86_64

UI is messed up. :( And Twitter.come isn't loading now. :(
@REO I don't know but many users said that they can't update to new version when the see dev-m in About dialog
It's frusraiting that the UI issue carried over from the Canary version. Now the width and scroll bar issues in Canary are fixed since it's a different version.
@Onivs: yep, I can't update and see "dev-m".... It still says my chrome is up-to-date
@nzman Yeah I'm seeing that too. Since Chrome OS is always maximized this will probably be noticed and fixed quickly.
@People isn't that the whole point of Incognito?
@REO Weird... I see it too.
Solve The Resolution Problem Of Scroll bar Quickly! Minor Problems are in this release! Totally Messed UP UI
If you have any issues i would recommend uninstalling and then re installing.
It had helped me few times now.
Thanks
cuando pasa la version dev 12.xxxx a beta!!!!!
ya que la beta está a la par de la estable :P
very BAD update.
Can't even open twitter.com site.. LOL
Using Opera for now.
The scroll bar on the right now does not fit on the page. Only half the scroll bar is viewable.
Scroll bar barely viewable.
twitter.com not loading properly, and neither are video's on vimeo.com
For those having problems loading Twitter (and other sites) I discovered that if you disable "GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D" on about:flags then those pages will load correctly.
So disable GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D until a new build comes out with the problem fixed.
Is there a bug already filled for this or I must fill one?
@petersaints Yeah you are right about disabling that to work. =D
oh, my scroll bar!!!
There is a bug with this release that the right side of the chrome window is going to far to into the right when maximized. The scroll bar and everything on the right side is cut off a bit. And yes, my screen position is right on the money, and I have it at the native resolution, 1280x1024.
I don't really mind the scroll bar issue. It could be an idea to offer an extra slim scroll bar for even more screen real estate, my problem is that I can no longer see link addresses on the bottom left. :s
Twitter.com doesn't work when you have CPU Accelerated 2D canvas enabled... WTF?
I realise this has problems...but this is a dev release.
So shut up and wait for them to fix it & rebuild.
Gmail Contacts will not load as of the Dev update released on Thurs Apr 28 2011. Uninstalled and re-installed Dev but problem remain. My reinstallation gave me the slightly older build that didn't have the "-m" on its version name.
Yeah, bad dev version. Impossible to use in non-aero environment.
No Twitter, no Torrentfreak... So many pages aren't loading...
twitter.com fails loading / becomes unresponsive.
arstechnica.com fails loading / becomes unresponsive.
full screen window composition is broken now.
As I said. Disable "GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D" until a new build comes out (hopefully tomorrow).
Or just revert to version 11 (this version 12 has not that many new things besides a few tweaks and little changes to the UI).
This is possibly the worst update ever! It's the scroll-bar, I can only see half of it.
Same 4 me :) cant see control barr or bottom of FB ;)
Like @Arran said, it's a dev version dudes ... be patient =)
Twitter.com problem (+1)
hey developers, do u even run the builds once on ur own PCs?
the screen size problem isn't that non-diagnosable!!!!
Thanks to those who are suggesting to disable "GPU Accelerated Canvas 2D", but it really doesn't work. I've done it, but Twitter and other sites are not loading or becoming unresponsive on Win7-64.
I've got one word to @Arran: why are you telling us to shut up? Who are you? The main thing of the Dev's is to try it and share bugs and report them to the team so they can fix it.
@Ghardas,
It's already been reported, several times, days ago.
http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=80391
So please, read the bug report. Fine, they haven't fixed it yet, but what good is spamming this blog with "omfg it doesnt work!" when this is a dev release, there is a damn confirmation box when you install a dev release for the first time: "THIS IS EXPERMENTIAL, IT WILL HAVE BUGS"
If you are that worried, why not downgrade to beta or stable?
please update it :(
guys relax its not that a big problem and i dont really have a problem with twitter...
if i open for example media player.i cant switch it...i must minimize chrome then maximize media player..fix it please..!!
In addition to all the problems reported so far here, I noticed that many popups are not being filtered.
To me at least, it was fixed with update 12.0.742.16 dev-m (on a Win7 x64 PC).
I hope it works fine to everybody
