Labels:

The stable channel has been updated to 9.0.597.98 for Windows. This release fixes a regression where IME clients could not attach to Flash (Issue 66605).  Many thanks to everyone for the reports!

If you find new issues, please let us know by filing a bug. Want to change to another Chrome release channel? Find out how.

Why are you doing this? Why three updates in 8 days in the stable branch?

Does this update bypass the GPO that disables Google update service within a enterprise??

@ Stefan

"STABLE" branch.

These updates make sure it is so by addressing issues.

Stable should mean that these problems get squashed before they hit the channel. I think that's the point Stefan was making. If not, it's the point I'm making.

3 updates in just over a week is a pain for corporate deployments. Here's hoping there won't be a fourth before long.

Unfortunately there will most likely be a fourth one since there the major security conference going on soon that will most likely find some more bugs that will need to be zapped right away.

My guess is that there something like flash that they did not get the file until after they had what they planned as a stable version 9 .
The extra bugs that were fixed at the same time since it made it easier to do at the same time.

Then they found a regression that I reckon would have be a major problem for people and enterprises so they had to get it fixed right away.

It the life of programming and since they built flash into the browser they have to work with adobe and sometimes that means add more releases.

Personally I think it worth it since it keep the browser running smoothly and protected.

Why is everyone being worked up about all the updates. It auto-updates anyways so you don't even have to mind it. and they more bugs they fix the better.
