Nice one Google! Gonna test :)
My Google Chrome does not update yet. Why ?
Thanks for the update. Any info about the speed improvements, etc?
Can't get directory upload to work, I just get the normal file selection dialog.
data:text/html,<input type="file" directory>
Using the latest dev build.
@MAZZTer: Directory upload is an experimental feature, so it has special naming for now.
You use it with < input type="file" webkitdirectory>.
Thank you for Apple Script. Just curious, does Google Chrome still do auto updates? I had to manually update mine, I assumed the process was done in the background? Was I just being impatient?
@analogue, v5point0: Stable updates are generally rolled out gradually over the course of a week or so. Chrome isn't broken, we just don't turn the firehose to full blast the instant a new version comes out.
Thank you Google team!.... The best webbrowser in the net...
Fix this, please. It makes the web ugly. http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=1334
Where is the GPU acceleration?
Wait so the beta version is still the same as the last release right?
ONLY the stable channel was updated?
I know how to fix MAC auto update issue.
i had issue where auto update did not work on the Mac osx.
i fixed this by uninstalling chrome then deleting some files Library>google chrome and ~/Library/google chrome.
then reinstall and it has been working fine since and auto updating.
issue caused by installing early beta of chrome and it left files in these locations.
PS; please google where is print preview and set up? i love the browser but miss this feature which keeps getting pushed back.
Is there anyway to enable click-to-play again?
Can you please make it possible to donate toward a feature in Chrome?
There are so many people who want e4x and would be willing to donate, surely allowing google checkout integration with google code would be a win win if I can pledge to donat to a developer and then pay the pledge until the fix is in!

Fonts look horrible on Linux as usual, kindly do some thing for font rendering on Linux.
I'm using Fedora 13 x86_64, chrome version 7.0.517.41. kernel 2.6.34.7-56
I'm a bit disappointed that you didn't check for new bug reports regarding the beta channel. There is still (at least) one in your parser: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=58493
Luckily we were able to add a workaround so it does not break our webapp.
hi chrome guys,
i have to refresh chrome occasionally for things i never did with Firefox. i was wondering if you found the same thing an issue. usually its youtube videos not loading and i have to hit refresh. its possible it could be AdThwart but wanted to know if u or anyone had the same problem.
otherwise, fantastic work chrome team!

There's a regression: some links, which were previously opened in the same tab, are now opened in a new tab:

great with such a big update! I have a bug showing up now though.
I'm using SwfFit to dynamically resize the Flash but since the latest update (yesterday) my site has started to flicker and stretch.
SwfFit: http://code.google.com/p/swffit/
Have a look here:

Check the same url in Firefox for a smooth version (and to see how Chrome was handling it before)
Any fix for this?
might be mac issue only it seems (about issue above)
Finally the auto update was flawless! Bravo!
Another recurring issue is Chrome's inability it seems to find major sites such as global.nytimes.com I have that rather well known site as a home page and it sometimes loads and sometimes doesn't. It also sometimes loads and sometimes doesn't for ft.com, another major site. In addition, when these pages autorefresh, Chrome can't load the page.
Doesn't happen with Safari. Reason I switched to Chrome was Safari's slowness which is now improved.
Mac OSX 10.6.4
This update broke javascript on many sites...
Uncaught TypeError: Object [object HTMLLIElement],[object HTMLDivElement],0,1 has no method 'removeClass'

Hi, could you update the standalone (offline) installer please?
Currently it is still 6.x.

This stable version has instant search enabled?
MasteringChemistry and MasteringPhysics don't work in this new version. Now when I click the 'Submit' button, the page just refreshes. If anybody else is taking classes using these, don't update.
Unfortunately printing large map in google directions is now broken - large white blocks under the route obscure the map. The issue in the bug database has been opened for several months and is not even scheduled! If you are annoyed with it, "star" issue 42932 (http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=42923)
Having some problems loading the facebook news feed page. Sometimes it loads fine, but every other time I refresh the page, some page elements are not loading. I don't have this problem with Firefox.
The same BUG continues:
I have 500 bookmarks, and when I click in letter "g" on my keyboard Chrome doesn't go to my bookmarks that begin with letter "g".
ONE YEAR AGO I said the same and you didn't work about it!
It will be hard using Chrome OS with this BUG!
#10 TIMES I SAID:
PLEASE! WORK ABOUT IT!
OSx 10.6.4
It's been mentioned many times above, but I just have to mention it again to get it more notice:
Chrome sporadically cannot load all of the elements of a page. I notice this most often on facebook's newsfeed. I have to refresh the browser, sometimes multiple times, in order to get my news feed. This does not occur in Firefox or Safari.
Many Chrome users report inability to keep tabs open between sessions. Chrome 7 has the same problem. Also GMail and Calendar are slow as molasses for some as well. Chrome 7 doesn't solve these either. These 3 bugs do not effect everyone but if the Google team bothered to read the Chrome and GMail Help Forums, you would see how many people are leaving for Firefox and other non-G alternatives because these problems aren't being addressed. Help sections themselves blame the problems on other apps, but that's just passing the buck, and again the Help Forum disproves them as not relevant to their PC.
Was the new tab screen changed? I noticed that the helpful History and Download links at the bottom were removed, and the screen got even larger for my netbook, so I can to scroll to see my most visited sites. I like the ability to shrink the most visited sites from thumbnail to just the title of the pages, though.
I have observed this bug after upgrading my chrome browser from version 6 to version 7, the copy and paste functions (Ctrl+C and Ctrl+V) are not funcitoning within the chrome browser. I have seen that this same issue came up once in the Chrome browser version in 2009 through the dev channel in 2009, these functions worked well in the previous versions, but now it is not working, I would like to know if there is any fix to this issue?
Thanks,
pradeep
International Atomic Energy has change the world properly and atomic energy agency, atomic energy commission doing work under atomic energy act of 1954.
Beginning with 7.0.517.41 Stable I'm not able to log in to my internet banks anymore, using ID card. Everything works fine with ver 6.
Everything does indeed seem stable and fairly nice, except...
javascript:self.close() now broken for the Mac OS version... ARGH!
Also, are you guys at Google aware that nowhere in the entire chain of screens to download Chrome for the Mac does it say what version you'll be downloading? Nor does the final product (always just says Google Chrome.dmg). You have to open the freaking disk image and do a Get Info to see what is inside the 31mb you just downloaded. Le sigh...
cool release
I noticed that the single user install will no longer be uninstalled by the system level version thats part of Google Pack. Why was this changed ?
Several of the sites I used successfully in Chrome 6 no longer function with 7 including google analytics. It's getting to the point where I'll have to switch back to firefox.
javascript window.location function -- is not working properly while execution in new beta version
Hi,
My theme did not shop correctly after update. The picture did not scale right.
cannot update from 7.0.517.41 to 7.0.517.43 from About Google Chrome, any hints?
Chrome could be just a short fling from Safari. This release 7 is pitifully slow in comparison with Safari -- in real life, not in some test lab.
The real kicker is the inability to find pages. Do we really have to add the www prefix? Apparently you must from time to time or else Chrome becomes befuddled. Do you really have to click reload, when you get a daily error message saying "This webpage not available." Apparently in Chrome you must.
Using the same machine and loading the same pages using Safari, you get effortless downloading.
Chrome may be speedy, but first it must actually download the page!!!!
Hey...
Am having trouble with copy and paste while using Google Chrome.
Any updates as to what could be the reason. I tried selecting the text and pasting it on a notepad, but there is nothing. I also tried the keyboard shortcuts, still no effect. This is rather surprising, but please could you let me know if you have come across a workaround for this.
Thanks and Regards,
Tels.
