Very nice update! :)

2 things:

1. What is click-to-play? What does it do? Does it enable plugins on demand or something in order to increase startup?

2. The numbers on the badges in the extensions area are much too small.

I agree that the numbers on the extension badges are too tiny! Otherwise good so far. ;-)

YES! The PDF viewer plugin is back on Linux, with some pop-up view control menu options!

Graphical glitches on the few recent Linux versions also fixed.

Thanks for getting the PDF plugin working!

When did the Bookmark star move to the left side of the bar? Why?
I have a much larger bookmark area but the bookmarks don't start up as well they did on the smaller area, is this a problem for others or just me?

I love the vertical tabs with Google Chrome on windows. Are there any plans to bring this to MacOS, too?
Yea, the --enable-vertical-tabs parameter works on MacOS, but the tabs shape do not change, hence it looks horrible...

These bugs are still present:

There is still a bug when viewing a folder of bookmarks in the bookmarks bar in full screen. Open a folder of bookmarks, hover over any bookmark in the folder, then from there move the mouse cursor over any other folder in the bookmarks bar. The list does not appear under its folder as it should but instead opens from the very top of the screen. Confirm this on the Mac version

Visit a bookmark currently with a blank favicon. As the site is loading click a bookmarks folder on the bookmarks bar and keep the drop-down list open. The moment the actual favicon for the site loads and appears in its tab the drop-down list of bookmark folder just closes instantly. This bug has been present in Chrome as long I could remember when first I began using it back in 5.x, all channels of both Windows and Mac.

Bookmarks show blank favicons the first time a bookmark folder in the bookmarks bar is open when Chrome is launched. Favicons are displayed correctly when the folder is opened a second time. Occurs on Mac.

On the Mac, when closing the download bar a white trail is left behind as the download bar is sliding down.

The add ons numbers are far to small, they were fine as they were, whiles the change.

David Knowles said...

On the other hand the independent extension loads up it list of news items much faster now than it did on the previous version.
Shame that I cannot actually see if there are new stories through.

Also the zoom button does not work in the PDF reader.

The issue regarding the badge font for extensions is addressed in issue 50129. The link to this is: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=50129

Apparently one of the developers will be making the change to correct this as of yesterday (21 hours ago).

Windows 7/Server 2008R2: There are no jump list items or even tasks for Google Chrome 5x/6x if "Store and display recently opened items in the Start Menu and the taskbar” start menu option is not enabled.
It should at least show tasks, but the jump list is empty. In order to make it work again, I have to clear Jump list settings (%APPDATA%\Microsoft\Windows\Recent\CustomDestinations) and then turn it on, after that I can turn it off gain and Chrome tasks will be available.
In addition, there is a missing translation for “Recent” in Bookmark manager in all stable version of Brazilian Portuguese Chrome.

Windows 7 - Today I noticed that when I went to a webpage which downloaded a file instantly, the download progress on the Chrome icon began, although I didn't click save yet.

Another thing, can anyone explain what Click-to-play is?

Kratos said...

Ammm... Just found another bug it was noticeable when you go to home.live.com Microsoft's live website. When the page was scrolled down, the scrollbar on the right just freaked out and got shorter. Try it.

About my previous comment, I found out that it is caused by the SmoothScroll extension.

It seems "position: fixed" elements are not drawing correctly when scrolling up a page. They work fine when scrolling down and work fine after mouseover.

WebApps buttons on the "new tab" page doesn't show icons anymore, even for the "demo" gmail_app which comes with the distribution, only WebApps Store shows the icon.

acid3 still has problems rendering the squares when you load it directly or after refresh.

WebApps just became pinned tabs, i mean they look and act just like the pinned tabs

hope you'll fix them
(Win 7 x86)

Is this icon text thing some sort of cruel joke? The numbers keep getting smaller, I swear!

if chrome would have natural smoothscroll support it would be very good.Because scroll extensions use cpu very much.

Hi, i just ran the acid 3 test and i didn't know where i was meant to post this but, during the test i saw some flashing red text for a moment so, using my awesome and 1337 reflexes i took a screenshot at the 69th % displaying in the upper left corner "You should not see this at all"

which leaves me to think it shouldn't be there at all even if it's for a fraction of a second.

Here's a link to the screenshot i took http://img823.imageshack.us/img823/9461/youshouldnotseethisatal.png
