They should include the canary build.
it's at 6.0.477.0,but I don't know what is changed or regressed.

you can see whats changed when it hits the dev channel. the point of the canary builds is to see if code crashes the browser. so just be patient

Cancel button still doesn't render properly.

the new UI is in chromium nightly builds right now. I think is really strange and needs more tweaks... I don't know...
you can download the mini installer here:
http://build.chromium.org/buildbot/continuous/win/LATEST/

and try it out

Unfortunately the PDF plugin is still defunct on Mac with this release. It worked with some previouses releases, is installed and enabled, but displays a blank black screen with message "missing plug-in". Anybody else having the same issue on Mac (OS X Snowleopard)?

If Chromium is where the new UI changes are at, it looks like the borders have been removed from the first three buttons on the toolbar.

Not sure how I feel about it yet, but it is a minor change.

Jacob said...

Arg. The buttons are now really un-tactile. There's still no go button. What was wrong with the one a while back, where the refresh was joined to the URL bar?

I'm on the canary build and I LOVE the little new UI changes (invisible buttons until you hover them) ! Thank you Chrome Team, it's a good idea for the "clean" look you (and I) want. :)

crashes from sleep mode

crashes a lot. don't have easy way to report.

zoom: why not make 100% a click button which will make the original size click a lot easier

LOVE the border-less Back, Forward, Stop/Reload buttons on the Canary build, please bring that UI pronto to the Beta channel!

HI, I'd like to suggest some necessary features for developers and users.

As an extension and webapp developer, I face some inconveniences in the extension's manager tab. We need to organize our extensions for testing purposes, and extensions tab is not as organized and fast to load as we we would like.
I'd like to have some filters inside the extension's tab for example: webapps, chrome extensions, themes, local webapps and extensions, and even disabled ones, that would very useful not only for developers but users.

Because it's very annoying to locate a certain extension or webapp when you have a bunch of them installed/disabled.

Another suggestion is related to extensions bar. Having it near to URL textbox, and many extensions installed, it gets crowded and the URL just dissapears. Maybe an alternative would be to drag this extension bar as a dockable window.

These are just some suggestions from my point of view and maybe from many others, and hope you consider them.

Best regards.

BTW: When are you going to protect the stored passwords? At least a password for accessing the "password and exceptions" window would be appreciated, 'coz our computers are exposed specially when somebody has physical access to it, maybe a robber, or a mate who asks us to lend him for a minute, etc.

Sorry 'bout my bad english.
