New stable release coming ...

I'm still seeing this UI issue: http://yfrog.com/7420100504164816j

I reported it to the Chrome help forums, but got no reply aside from one about restoring the default theme, but I'm not using a theme aside from the default one.

@jasonvaritekfan: I'm not sure where that issue came from. I checked my installation and don't seem to have that issue. It could be related to your current OS version. Perhaps try uninstalling and reinstalling. It may help.

I am very pleased with the work.

@Superlink X: Yeah I guess I can reinstall Chrome (and will give it a try). This issue happens after the last update to Chrome beta (update 5.0.375.29).

Here's one it looks like on mouse-over -- it looks like the chevron is over the slider: http://yfrog.com/5b20100510222658j

But if I restore (unmaximize) and maximize the window or open a new tab (or enter a URL), the glitch goes away: http://yfrog.com/e020100510222731j

Great to have alerts working with extension popups.

Won't use Chrome on mac until you fix the Bookmarks bar with folders and make overlays work right with Flash Gala.

Hi. I am a big fan of Chrome Beta versions, but prior to installing this one, I have a question: has the bookmark syncing issue been solved? (it may take days without syncing). Thanks.

===BIG PROBLEM===

When I am in a bookmarks folder and I press a letter in my keyboard ("d", for exemple)
Chrome doesn't go to my favorites that start with the letter "d".

Detail: I have 700 bookmarks!

PLEASSSSSSSE, work it!

I really like Chrome, but there's something I'm waiting for with every update: Re-check spelling when changing the spelling language.

Everyday I write many e-mails both in French and in English. Let's say if English is the spelling language and I start writing an e-mail in French, most words get underlined. If I then switch the spelling language to French, words are still underlined. I have to move the caret through each of them to remove the underlining. This should be done automatically when changing the language.

That seems so easy to do... Is this something planned?

Like Francois, I have exact the same request...
When changing the spell check language please re-check all automatically.

where is the tools and help and the options like on explorer? I can't find my way around, i do like that i can use chrome features that windows 7 has screwd up.

Guys, if you have bug reports, check the link in the article. Remember to search for an existing bug before opening a new one. :)

@Marilyn Browser tools can be accessed under the Tools menu, represented by a wrench icon in the top right. Page tools can be accessed with the Page icon next to it. Hope this helps, your post is a little confusing.

There are still some RTL issues (Deleting the last Character of a word in Text Box removes the space between words).

Chrome is great browser, really nice updates. But still, downloading files with it is so uncomfortable and slow, i hope you can make some improvements on that soon.

very stable release, have not really ran into any problems. However, I have turned off dns-fetching (lately it just seems to cause problems loading pages). maybe one or two more beta updates and 5 should be about ready :)

This blog seems to be lagging behind the actual releases recently - I got updated to 6.0.401.1 on the dev channel this morning - can we have the details please?

Johnny said...

The videos on cnn.com are not playing properly.
The video screen size is bigger than the video played so all around you can see pieces of the first image on the video.

svinqVmraka said...

agreed w/ Martin. Any info on the dev 6.0.401.1 version?

Logos said...

blog no updated as soon as new dev versions come out recently. Example: nothing about current 6.0.401.1

Thiago Gutenberg said...

@Logos

I don't know, maybe these delays in publications is because they will promote beta to stable. In version 6.0.401.1 (Official Build 47 018) dev, the changes that I know is that they have updated the Webkit from 533.8 to 533.9 and V8 from 2.2.7 to 2.2.9. That's all I know for now.

There's a bug when using Youtube HTML5 mode.
The button for selecting the Video resolution won't work (You can't use it).
Thanks.

@ A Lo Ha, Thanks for the links.

There's only one thing with the 2-3 latest releases that has been bugging me, not sure why this hasn't been fixed yet, I didn't check to see if it's reported but:

Clicking on an embedded Youtube opens it in some place instead of a new tab. Not sure where it's going, but closing the current tab stops that "ghost" tab too. Very strange and annoying.

Great build though, faster than ever! Great job people.
