Stable Update: Disable Translate

Google Chrome 4.1.249.1045 has been released to the Stable channel on Windows.

This release fixes two issues:

  • Fix to prevent crashes with the LastPass extension (Issue 38857)
  • Add the option to disable 'Offer to translate pages that aren't in a language I read' in Options > Under the Hood

This release also addresses one minor security issue:

Good day. Thank you for shutting down the translation. I would like to see an icon or context menu to initiate translation, if totally disabled. The way it was dealt with such an icon in the expansion of Google Translate. Is this the plan for the next version? Thank you and sorry for bad English.

Can anyone help me? Is it right Safari and Chrome both uses "Webkit"?
On both browser, I don`t get uploading box on any site like tinypic etc. Is there any way to merge latest Webkit with Chrome, other than its own.

@ Ahmad
Safari and Google Chrome both using webkit. The V8 engine integrated in Google Chrome is just transition from webkit and therefore some of the web pages cannot executes properly. So, if you wanna open up certain old script, you need to use Mozilla Firefox as an alternative to solve your problem instantly...by the way, i hope this solution may help you in the future.

instead of switching to Firefox, you might try using WebKit Nightly Builds, available http://nightly.webkit.org/.

that gets you the latest development version of Safari.

I have been using the most current Webkit Nightly Builds for about 2 years now, and their performance and stability have been uniformly excellent.
