Are App Tabs coming to the Linux branch soon? I see they're in the Windows one already.

the tab when pinned could not be closed. Was it designed that way? Cos i remember in the previous releases, tabs can be closed even when pinned.

thanks!

It's a feature called App Tabs that's been shown in some Chrome OS videos. Think of it as being similar to the OSX Dock or the Awesome Bar in Windows 7.

Ahh, Thanks Rick :)

I've never got the svn revision log link posted with these updates to work lately. Blank page every time. *shrug*

On the Mac, the big padding and centering of bookmarks and folders on the bookmarks bar is still a problem. To be fixed soon, please?

One of my two Win7 x64 machines fail the acid3 test with a score of 98/100, and have for the past 8 or so dev releases. Test summary from the Acid3 test is:

Test 71 Failed: expected '2' but got '3' - wrong number of children in HTML (frist test)
Test 72 Failed: expected '20' but got '10' - change failed to take effect.

Anyone have any idea why this would happen? Any OS related settings ect that could effect this?

Anyone know how to disable the saved form data like it did in all other previous Chrome releases before this one?

This is a long time bug, I try to create a canvas of let's say 480x360 (with javascript) and after that drawImage on it, copying from another canvas or video element, and it doesn't copy all of it, just a small part. I tested on Chrome,Chromium and Safari where it fails, and on Opera and Firefox works good. Maybe is a webkit bug.

Joey, its called a "Phantom tab" :) Pretty cool eh!

I don't see this update in Ubuntu's Synaptic, is the a delay ?

Hello.

'Form auto-fill' still doesn't work propely. It fill all log-in forms even when it's disabled.

It appears as though the order in which Chrome switches back to previously opened tabs from closed tabs has changed. It no longer jumps back to the root tab; it jumps to the most recently opened tab. Slightly annoying.

Joey said...

Oooh, fancy "Phantom Tab". First time I heard about it. thanks, Mohd Mansour :)

this is by far the buggiest release of chrome on the dev channel that i have used.

i agree with all of the other comments posted here, but they're overlooking one key feature: SPEED!

i disabled all of my extensions, and this still runs more slowly than safari! what's going on? please don't take your eyes off of the ball…

Forgot to put the "Dev Channel" tag on this post.

STILL getting the 'oh snap' error for every site visited with this version (regardless of starting with a clean instatll, i.e. previous version/deb purged and profile deleted). Would be nice to see this bug addressed, especially since it has been posted several times by myself and others in the bug tracker.
