For normal users of Vista, Windows 7, and so on: the Google Translate extension only crashes the new Dev Chrome on Windows XP, so please don't be afraid to install this new 4.0.302.2 version is you have a newer system than XP (or Mac/Linux).
I am using Vista, 4.0.302.2 Chrome, and Google Translate is turned on, and it works just fine.

Since following GC from day one, there have been MANY hurdles...and nothing has stopped GC getting to were it is now, only simply pushing it above and beyond... my system has been IE free since the IETAB EXT release.
As it stands i pretty sure that GC is about to go public soon or if not possible sync with GO system.
The last couple of GC windows releases have pretty much become 90% stable releases...watch this space.
Note to Lumo- many thanks for clearing that up!

@Kurtextrem: Thanks for the advice, I tried disabling the extensions and it looks like HTML Validator - Version: 1.1.4 and SeoQuake - Version: 0.4.2 break the acid3 test results (each of the extensions lower the result by 2 percent).
I will contact the developers of these extensions and file a bug report.
By the way, shouldn't Google have some standard checking procedures for the quality of the extensions?

I can find the "Clear Browsing Data" button in my options menu, but where is that new button?
6:01 PM, January 24, 2010
Jeffrey said...
@XDRAGON360,
The Clear Browsing Data button is completely abolished once you upgrading your Google Chrome browser from version 3 to version 4 in which it is quite annoying for certain people who needed instant clearing of their privacy data.
Indeed, this version 4 of Google Chrome browser "clear browsing data" icon is transferring the functionality into "extension application" icon.
For your information, there are shortcut key for instant clearing of the data without needed to install any third-party application. It is just simply pressing the ctrl + shift + del key from your keyboard and that it. All the private information that stored in this browser would completely wipe-out instantly.

I just noticed this on my Chrome at work (XP machine). I can no longer rearrange the thumbnails on the new tab page. I drag them around, but they always snap back to where they were. I'm not sure if this was introduced in this last update, but I think it's worth mentioning.

Hi All,
Thanks again for your great work! One picky UI comment... in the bookmarks manager, could you please put the (+) (-) (gear) menu at the bottom rather than top? When those types of menus are used on OS X UIs, such as the System Preferences, they fall at the bottom. Just a little consistency thing. Thanks again for all your great work. Firefox is so passe!
Thanks!
Brian
