Nice to hear that Beta Channel has finally been updated to 4.0 :) with bookmark sync. Waiting for RSS & Proxy support (bug#266).
Excelent ^^ gonna try this.
So is the a Beta or a Dev (Labels: Dev udpates)?
Red: it's beta, the "Dev updates" label is just a mistake.
why is the beta a more advanced release than dev?
@dbone:
Because some issues blocked the dev channel release last week, but development builds are still ahead.
log of all revision link send to a blak page.
waiting for next dev... and hoping the problems with acrobat reader will be fixed soon :)
is the chrome 4 beta compatible with windows 7 pro 64 bit? it doesn't say anything about being compatible with windows 7...
I have to download the beta channel in Firefox because the stable version always fails and there's no direct link to the executable updater.
Hi,
I'd like to sync the bookmarks to my Google Apps (GAFYD) Account - is this possible now?!
regards,
Joscha
Why Google Docs...????
Google bookmark is better.
I think u guys provide a facility to sync with google bookmarks.
any info on when can we see the next Dev update??
bookmark sync doesn't sync with the google toolbar bookmarks. why?
they synch to googleDocs but i can not move, rename or delete bookmarks once in googleDocs. still needs work. thumbs down (for now)
Will the final Chrome 4 be released for Linux aswell or don't you see it as being stable enough yet?
dev channel Version: 4.0.223.11
beta channel Version: 4.0.223.16
The release of the beta version, why you were a higher number?
Hi! I'd just like to congratulate you for this first Version 4 release as Beta. Good job, guys! :)
Ive been trying out the use of google sync and it is really awesome!! good work!
Only one word for Google Chrome...AMAZING
Thanks guys for your good work.
Hi with version 4.0.223.11 and 4.0.223.16, secure pages are broken. The secure icon changes from the padlock to the triangle with the exclamation mark saying "This page contains some insecure content.". So far I have found that this problem happens when I am in this comment window and also in gmail. For gmail I found that the source of the problem has something to do with the "Google Talk Plugin" because when I sign into Gmail and and GTalk finally loads, the security of the page breaks. When I use "disable-plugins" in the short-cut, Gmail remains secure after Gtalk is fully loaded. But even when the plugins are disabled, this comment window's security is still broken. Why? Anyway, there should be a feature that would allow the user to choose what plugins they want to disable, instead of having one choice to either have all of them enable or none at all. Anyway, it would be nice if this security problem would get fixed.
my wishlist:
themes is extended to options panel and windows launched through application shortcuts (now it's a ugly mess), print preview, problem with loading pdfs on some sites, the security issue mentioned above.
Otherwise speed is amazing, good job!
thanks a lot.
I have posted this several times already, but to no avail and now the dev version and beta version will no longer work with wiki sites.
The problem is the left menu on Wiki sites appears at the bottom left as opposed to what should be the top left.
An example is here ... www.centralgurdwara.org.
When can this be finally corrected?

if there is a bug like that already opened and star it
Thanks Fabio.
Reported it a few times before and now see it in the list and starred it.
Thanks again.

Google Chrome 4.0.223.16 seems to be slow in compare to current release stable version. Notwithstanding, the clearing privacy data button under the tools section are no longer appear and this is quite annoying especially for the people who surfing the internet at the public location. Other than that, Google Chrome is the best in compare to other browser that available in the market...
If you're currently running extensions on the dev channel, be sure not to "upgrade" to this beta channel even though it has a higher version number. Many of the features used by extensions are still disabled in the beta channel.
I have a problem using adobe reader with google chrome. I use the stable version but still.
The problem is that the documents that are pdf-files, won't open correctly inside google chrome. Usually documents won't open first time at all, but it usually helps when you reload the page. I don't have the same problem when using explorer or firefox.
Has anyone else same problems or is it just me?
@puma
there is a problem with acrobat 9.2 that is already fixed (or has to be) in 4.0.223.16 beta and will soon backported into stable channel.
as workaround you can minimize and then maximize again the window with the pdf and then it will paint.
I'm sure the patch will land soon ;)

Google Chrome is commonly perform like that because they using "V8" or known as apple "Webkit" as their core operation. Because of opting this kind of rendering engine, reading files such as pdf document or loading flash content are become a great setback and certain websites that require a compatible view of the content are not actually perform well...and due to this reason, some people may not choosing Google chrome as their preferable browser applied in daily usage...
Indeed, the usage share somehow is below the Mozilla Firefox due to compatibility issues, handling extension application as well as optimize memory consumption...
Faster rendering speed doesn't mean anything if the page require to load is becomes blank and require to press reload button again...unlike Mozilla Firefox, hassle free in loading a webpage and great speed in downloading. That's what major users expected towards their daily Internet browser. Therefore, I really hope that Google Chrome need to focus at this section in order to make their browser become excellent...
Well seems to be resolved the incompatibility of Adobe Reader V9.2 and this version of Chrome ...
I updated and it seems that my history was deleted. Also, when i spell out the full url name(Ex. Google.com,Yahoo.com,Nfl.com) it will automatically take me to the "Search the site" feature and i eventually have to search "nfl" on google to get to the site.
Consistently high CPU usage for many sites: http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues/detail?id=27380
