Beta and Stable Channel Update

Labels: ,

The beta and stable channels have been updated to 195.25.  This release includes only a single change that adds an image link to the new tab page which directs new users to the themes gallery.

Is there an ETA by when the RSS feature will be released?

With Google Chrome, the download system is very slow.

Please, solve the problem.

The image link to Themes isn't a bad idea, but I think the image could be a big smaller. Also, if this a permanent feature?

If you make the Themes image link a bit smaller and lower the "Recently closed" bar, a user could add more thumbnails on the New Tab page.

I really hate this image link to themes. Such a huge amateurish looking image for a such a pointless feature like theming.

I know that many folks will disagree with me, but that's my opinion.

Installed update and my theme disappeared, some of my settings got changed (that is, 'always show tab bar' became unchecked) and now I can't get my theme back.

I am using the beta channel.

How do you get rid of the new theme link on the new tab page? It kinda sucks.

I wish I didn't install this latest version.

Chrome was also made for serious people?
With the new colorful image on the new tab page, doesn't appear.

I don't use the Chrome to play, but to work. So, I would like a link to the gallery themes more discreet.
Please.

Can you please provide a link to chrome_installer.exe in these posts?

It's really cumbersome having to track down the URL every time there's an update.

The proxy at my job blocks the update servers, so even though I'm a web developer and need Chrome to do my job, I cannot use the auto update feature.

Thanks!

One thing about the latest dev channel release, 4.0.220.1, when trying to access the settings in Google Reader, it doesn't work.

Try it yourself. Go to reader.google.com, click on settings, and watch the browser just say loading while it is stuck there.

This new feature really looks kinda cheap and amateurish. The idea is okay, but the actual appearance of it sucks..

@ stefan,
Happened to me too, the same thing you're talking about. You'll have to uninstall, delete all the cache and stuff and reinstall.

When we click on Favourites Star just at the left of address bar, in folder combobox it show all the folders one below the other. You cannot differentiate between folders and subfolders from that list. However, if you click on Edit in the same dialog box you get the right folder structure.

Moreover, the caption Option (menu) should be displayed as (Option...); 3 dots means that this option will open something. This goes for some other options as well.

Not crazy about the corner flip page to themes...Not necessary...Has to be another way to have easy access to themes besides options...Actually they belong in the drop down menu...

David Knowles said...

May be I am crazy, but the little flip page image did appear in the right hand corner after I upgraded and now it has simply now disappeard when I loaded chrome up this morning. Has this happen to anyone else.

David Knowles.

This has happened to me as well. I thought it may have been some type of issue with my installation, so I uninstalled it completely, then reinstalled. It appeared for the moment, but then it was gone again, even after a fresh install. Hmm, seems like a bug to me.

Yes, David, similar experience here, to top it all the download manager seems to have developed a bug, showing wrong estimated times, and download speeds!

I have been having problems downloading from megaupload. I tried the links on firefox and they work fine, but when i try to download in chrome, it shows that the file got downloaded but it would be a corrupted file.

Will there ever be a fix for the Unsafe Java Script Attempt when viewing pictures in Yahoo.

I click on the pictures. It seems like the pictures go from the previous to the next, but after a while, it gives up leaving all kinds of errors in the console.

This is in the Slide Show areas of pics by the way.
