Google Chrome 0.4.154.31 has been released to the Dev channel only. This is a bugfix-only release. There are no new features.See http://dev.chromium.org/getting-involved/dev-channel for information about subscribing to the Google Chrome Dev channel.Please file (or update existing) issues at http://code.google.com/p/chromium/issues. Please, can you tell me HOT TO download the full installer for the new release NOT requiring a subsequent update ?
Do chrome developers knows that if you are behind a proxy requiring manual authentication there are NO WAY for google update to work ??

I suggest you to support Gopher, because Opera, Safari and Internet Explorer does not support it. Mozilla Firefox 4 won't support it either.
That basically leaves Chrome left.

Is there a way to install Chrome WITHOUT the Google Updater running all the time and silently updating? I won't install this on my machine until this is an option. a> I don't want another process running b> I want to know when I'm updating.
I don't mind the browser checking when you start it up and then telling me there's a new version available (like say Filezilla) I don't want the overhead and the automatic part.

gopher is used anymore by what, 0.001% of internet users?
My guess is the flash numbers are many orders of magnitude higher, even if you just take the people with browsers that WANT to use flash apps.

Been using Chrome from Flock after having several Flock crashes...finding I miss many Chrome features such as the media and bookmark tools...also noticed I get lots of Shockwave crashed errors in Chrome. I'd like to see the blogging tool feature added to Chrome as well, however adding these features may cause Chrome to slow down and crash like Flock?
